Dr. Gil brings a deep passion for emergency veterinary care to our Pinecrest vet hospital. Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Dr. Gil discovered her love for animals early on, inspiring her journey into veterinary medicine. It was in vet school that she found her calling in Emergency Medicine, and joined VEG Boynton Beach after graduation. There, she received specialized ER training and mentorship, building a strong foundation in critical care. She later joined VEG Miami, where she fully embraced the VEG approach to pet care, emphasizing compassionate service and active client involvement. Now, as Medical Director of VEG Pinecrest, Dr. Gil is thrilled to lead a talented team dedicated to high-quality emergency care in a welcoming environment for clients and pets alike. In addition to her medical skills, Dr. Gil is passionate about teaching and leadership, creating a supportive team culture where everyone feels valued and empowered. Her favorite parts of the job include managing complex cases, performing procedures like surgery and endoscopy, and inviting clients into the treatment area to be part of their pet’s care.
