I have been to many ER vets unfortunately all across the Midwest and Southeast over the last couple years as my pets have aged and travel with me for work. This was by far one of the best places, with the nicest staff I have ever visited. I feel very lucky now knowing it’s in my home city. It was the kind, calm, patient, caring demeanor all the staff showed to everyone that really got me. Not one person was treated any less important than the other. Sure there were certainly more high priority emergency related cases, and they treated those accordingly. But once my case was no longer deemed a high priority emergency, I still never felt pushed to the side or unimportant. The staff kept coming over and checking in on me and my Holly and letting us know what the plan was and that they were still working on getting the treatment together and once the doctor was available again, they would be back around to me. And each time they kept reiterating if I needed anything they were there. And I get that a lot of people say that, but I can confidently say that VEG means it. The vet tech Connor even came and sat with my girl Holly and pet her head so she could stay calm while I ran to the bathroom and got a cup of complimentary hot tea from their front lobby. VEG has really thought through how to make these stressful situations for pet parents far more manageable.

The staff helped save our puppy over this Christmas when she was dehydrated and unable to produce stool. They went above and beyond to make our puppy comfortable and us. At one point they bought our family fresh baked cookies which may not seem like a big deal. But when we were worried about whether or not our puppy would make it through the night, a warm cookie felt like a warm hug. They were able to help our pup get the help she needed and she was home in 2 days. We’re forever grateful for the staff at VEG for saving our 4 month old puppy and keeping us informed throughout the process.

The best care for our pet. My daughter's dog was mauled at 10pm last night and needed emergent surgery. I was amazed by every single thing I experienced here. Took us right in. Calm peaceful environment. Couches and chairs for family to sit with and watch surgery and treatment. There was even a lady bringing around snacks. We were allowed to be involved with care and ask questions throughout our entire visit. I wish they offered human medicine here! Give them all the starts
