EMERGENCY VETS AND URGENT CARE IN Pittsburgh, PA
welcome to VEG Pittsburgh!

Dr. Allison Faust
Medical Director
University of Pittsburgh; University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Faust is a central PA native who grew up in Hershey, PA. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh (Hail to Pitt!) and obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After finishing her schooling, she began practicing as a primary care and urgent care veterinarian. She quickly developed a passion for emergency medicine and joined VEG in 2021 where she completed their NERD (New ER Doctor) Fellowship at VEG White Plains. She then helped open the VEG Philadelphia location in Center City Philly. During her time in Philadelphia, she completed the VEG ER Certificate and VEG Exotics Microcertificate programs as well as a Medical Director Apprenticeship. She is also actively involved in the VEG Campus Partners program in which she loves to mentor veterinary students. She has a special interest in all things feline, surgery, and leadership. Being able to improve the veterinary experience for the customers, pets, staff, and veterinary community in the Steel City is what drives her to be the best leader she can be for her team.
