I wanted to sincerely thank all of the absolutely Amazing doctors for saving my beloved Harry's life . I knew as a Dog mom he was not well ..I took him to another ER ..no tests were done..my vet same thing . I am so thankful I felt the instinct that something was very wrong with Harry . Dr Lee was the first doctor I spoke to ..she was amazing! My daughter who lives near the ER took Harry and he was checked out with some internal bleeding and spent 2 days at the hospital. Harry is my World and they saved his life ..his sister Khaleesi stayed with me like my daughter and I knew Harry was in the best place. I am forever grateful to all of the AMAZING doctors here..I can call anytime and a doctor will answer all of my questions . I am incredibly grateful to VEG ..I am so grateful and blessed I found you ..as is Harry ! He is back to his normal self ..loving his scarves ..and sometimes his Cone of Shame 🫠 Thank you VEG

My cat is almost 13 years old and spicy enough to make a ghost pepper look like baby food. He is the sweetest little one at home but has to be sedated at every vet visit for his own safety and that of the veterinary team. When there's an emergency it causes immense stress to both of us because of the lengths that have to be gone to just to check him. This is why today, midday on a Sunday, when he stopped using the litter box and started making his "I'm in pain" yowls (10 days after starting antibiotics for pancreatitis), after many bad vet ER experiences across 2 states, I chose VEG. When calling initially, they actually answered my questions, they were polite, patient, they weren't deterred when hearing that I needed to bring in chaos incarnate, and they walked me through what to expect. Upon arrival, they gave me an honest overview of the causes to test for and rule out, as well as challenges facing them when sedating an older cat. They were patient and detailed every step of the way, and I was able to be present (and in physical contact with him) from start to finish. They even ensured someone remained with him to monitor, and they only had us take him home once he was alert and active and aware again (this is a first and I'm so grateful; every vet he has been to sends him home while he's still drooling and twitching and unable to stand, which is terrifying for me). Usually after getting home from the vet (normal visit or ER), my cat hides for at least 2 or 3 days and hisses at me whenever I get within 10 feet of him. I've always been told this is normal, and accepted it as part of the unfortunate experience. However today, the minute we returned home, my cat came up to me and stretched out next to me, purring and relaxed, and remains next to me as I write this, just hanging out, chill. This is like some sort of magic and I'm beyond grateful. Thank you to Dr. Lee, Nurse Sam S., and the receptionist staff (who checked on us and helped bring a smile into a dark and stressful situation) Anette and Chrissy. All of you are amazing and I do not have words to tell you how much I appreciate you, and your careful administrations to my furbaby. I hope I never require your services again, but if I do, I'm not going anywhere else. ♡ Note: Photo of aforementioned spicy old furbaby as required cat tax. ♡

When we got home from the dog park, Lucy's paw was very swollen, and I was concerned that she may have broken it. I took her to Blue Pearl ER (they are the closest), but they had a 2 hour wait and suggested I try Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) at the Town Center. Only 8 minutes away, I thought I'd try it. WOW ARE THEY GREAT! The treatment happens out in the open where owners stay with their pets, which helps everyone to stay calm. Dr. Finney is an Auburn graduate (WAR EAGLE!). She worked with me on treatment/pricing and I was very comfortable. I highly recommend this place! Thankfully Lucy's paw isn't broken; she was, however, bitten by some sort of insect and is having a reaction. Fast, friendly, and caring staff. Seriously, these folks are GREAT!
