I had to take the time to write this team a review. My dog was attacked late at night while I was out of town. My brother responded to the situation on my behalf to find my dog pretty torn up. We were referred to VEG by another emergency clinic. They got our pup in almost instantly (his injuries were pretty severe) This team was so kind and willing to communicate and answer all of my questions over the phone. They were quick in communication and service. Before my brother had gotten there, they sent me a link a to check my pup in while my brother was driving. Within an hour my brother had arrived and gotten a care plan from them. We got a list of recommended care with pricing with a quick link to pay remotely. In addition to their kindness and efficiency, the hospitality was unmatched. Nobody wants to spend their entire evening in a waiting room but they made it as enjoyable as possible. While my pup was under anesthetic and receiving his care, the team set up a private room with a pull out couch and blanket for my brother. I’ve never received care like this at any other vet clinic or ER. Thank you to this team from the bottom of my heart for taking great care of my pup and my brother!

I can’t say enough good things about Veterinary Emergency Group. From the moment I walked in with my dog Mando, I was treated like a VIP. The entire experience was thoughtful, compassionate, and incredibly professional. The staff was not only sweet and friendly, but genuinely gentle and caring—with both me and Mando. They clearly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. They had no problem letting me stay with him, even overnight, and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable. From cozy accommodations to little thoughtful touches, they went above and beyond to make a stressful situation feel manageable. One of the things I appreciated most was how experienced and calm the staff was. You could tell they really knew what they were doing, and they made sure to keep me informed every step of the way. They even let me help hold Mando during some of the treatments, which made me feel included and reassured that he was in good hands. They checked on us frequently, and not just as part of a routine—it felt like they genuinely cared about how both of us were doing. That level of attentiveness made a huge difference. And bonus: the location is super convenient, with a Cheesecake Factory and Starbucks nearby—which came in handy during a very long night! It’s rare to find a place that combines skill, heart, and hospitality so seamlessly. Thank you, VEG team, for taking such great care of Mando and making sure I felt supported every step of the way. VEG ER in Overland Park provided amazing urgent care for our dog. From the moment we walked in the door we, and our pet, were treated like it was a concierge service - immediate triage (they were heading toward the door as we were walking in), then detailed history and exam in a private treatment room, and it all happened within a reasonable amount of time. The Vet Tech and Vet we dealt with were both amazing - professional, explained everything clearly, asked and confirmed, more than once, whether our questions were answered. We liked them, and we felt like we and our dog mattered. Highly recommend!!
